We didn't start out as an editing house. We started behind the camera — shooting weddings every weekend, then heading home to cut them ourselves.
Since 2017 our crew has filmed over 300 weddings and edited at least double that for a handful of the best wedding filmmakers in the country.

We started Backlog Bay for our fellow wedding filmmakers who were drowning in their backlogs — talented artists who'd started to feel more like prisoners to their business than the successful creatives they are.
I mean, come on — we get to make a living documenting people partying on the best day of their lives. That's the best job ever, right? It is… until your backlog catches up to you and you have to lock yourself in your edit bay for weeks straight just to make good on the promises you made to your couples.
Backlog Bay is a small, tight-knit crew of editors who've been in the trenches of wedding season right alongside you. Our goal is to be an extension of you. We're not here to put our own stamp on your footage. We want to learn your style and essentially be another you.
